PETRA-E, which stands for PETRA-Education, resulted from the large European PETRA (platform Européenne pour la traduction littéraire) Project, which was completed in 2013 with recommendations for improving literary translation in Europe.
Petra-E follows up on a few important recommendations from the 2011 PETRA Congress. The PETRA Congress was an EU-funded project where all parties involved in literary translation met for the very first time and made recommendations to improve the situation of literary translation.
The recommendations of the PETRA Congress are available in four European languages, English, German, French and Slovenina and the summary in Spanish and Italian.
