PETRA-E* is a network for the education and training of literary translators. We aim to facilitate European collaboration and exchange for the education and training of literary translators. This is important in this small scale educational field that has many possible language combinations. Our first achievement is the development and publication of a Framework for literary translation and a database with courses and programs for literary translation.

PETRA-E is sponsoring the forthcoming conference “Literary Translation Studies Today and Tomorrow“, which will be held 4-6 November 2021 at Trinity College Dublin.  The deadline for submission of abstracts is 6 April 2021, and further details are available here.

PETRA-E is also an official partner of ESLT, the European School of Literary Translation.
